Quite literally the last push now! Last paper to go, jiayou everyone!
I can’t believe May passed just like that. So much has happened… I probably learnt more about my coursemates than I ever did in the past two terms. And once the exams are over June will pass even more quickly with all the post-exam plans, and soon I’ll be back in Singapore again. It seems somewhat surreal :O
6 more papers to end of exam season 🙂 The two papers next week are probably some of the harder ones, so I hope I can survive through these!
- 5 days to SFP (excluding today) (ZOMG)
- 5 days to publishing of Sotong Guide 1 (ZOMGGG)
- 17 days to end of exams
- 41 days to going home ❤
As I grow up, I realise I increasingly resemble my mum. In terms of looks, because sometimes I look at photos of myself and think I see a part of her in them; in terms of mind, because she plays a huge role in shaping how I think and see the world.
As I grow up, I realise there are many things my mum tries to teach me, things I may not necessarily understand given my level of maturity at that instant. There are definitely times when we disagree with our mums on stuff. We may not necessarily agree with them all the time, but a few years down the road, we look back and realise where they were coming from when they nagged at us, or gave us the silent treatment for mistakes we thought were not mistakes.
As I grow up, I realise no matter how old I may be, my mum is still one of my greatest pillars of support; and increasingly, I will be her pillar of support too.
Happy Mother’s Day, my dear mummy ❤ I wish you happiness, not just for today, but for every single day. 🙂
Recently I have been listening to a lot of youtube artistes’ covers of pop songs, a capella groups, Chinese singing competition-shows that involve lots of harmonising, old classics, old classics in Mandarin, etc etc. Songs that really puts your singing prowess to the test. Songs that I think we would be more than happy to attempt at Kbox 😄 Songs that make me sing aloud in my room and want to improve my singing for.
On a side note, it’s 2 down, seven to go! Or more like, two cleared, seven to go 🙂 good news is always good, keeps me going!
One down, eight to go~
Not happy with my performance today, not because I didn’t prepare sufficiently or whatever, but because I had forgotten the basics of the basics. Can’t believe that all my years of studying science went to trash just like that. I thought science is my lifeline? That science runs in my blood? What happened?
Maybe I am getting old. Otherwise I wouldn’t have been so forgetful; and otherwise I wouldn’t have been exhausted so quickly as well. Seriously, first paper of the term and I’m tired already?
Dear electromagnetics, I’m so sorry that I took such a long time to understand you… please be nice to me and us tomorrow / later today.
I’ve worked long and hard (too hard?) for you. And I have to say, I’m proud of what I’ve done – starting with hodge-podge copy-paste-formula understanding of all the concepts, ending with being able to apply the integrals in a legit manner. Practice (and loads of progressive familiarisation) makes perfect, or close-to perfect at the very least.
First paper of the term. JIAYOU!!
Hereby quoting my math lecturer’s catchphrase! (Other than his all-time favourite ‘happy days’ lolol)
So summer term begins tomorrow. Well technically my first real exam is 2 weeks later, but my socks are pulled up already. Still debating with myself if I should (ironically) take a break from studying and do something else for, say, a day or half a day.
Regardless of what, I’m having mixed feelings for this term. Dreading it because it’s exam season, but looking forward to passing it so that I can do everything I want to do. For instance, my books backlog is getting abit insurmountable, and I need some serious guitar therapy and self-updating on current issues.
Here’s to a good summer term ahead of us! 🙂
